Got a chance to go out to Amherst, NY to do this National Tourney in August. Looks to be the first time this tourney has been held up north. Team attendance has always been low. Has anyone ever called this tourney? What should I expect for quality of play? Any info would be great.

Duke,

Can't help you with any information as to what to expect,
but would like to say "congratulations" on your selection.

Best of Luck,
Have Fun,

Congratulations! Have fun and enjoy yourself. If this is your first, make sure you observe what the UIC tells the other umpires, not just what s/he may say to you.

I would expect the level of play to be the equivilant of good 16U ball. These girls will probably play good ball, but not great ball. College scouts should be at a minimum which is a good thing. That means more resources for the teams and umpires.
