Not sure why I volunteered for this, but I'm doing a SP tourney over the weekend that benefits the March of Dimes. All is good except for the fact that we are expecting snow showers on Saturday and temps at or below freezing throughout the weekend. :eek: Any suggestions on keeping warm besides getting a couple of beers in me (even though I'm under age)? Where's spring at when you need it? :cool:

Have a snowmobile suit? Wear it. Do you snow ski? Dress as if you were skiing. Layers, lots of layers.

Good set of work boots and toe warmers.

Don't worry about the uniform, they'll know who you are.

A little update...

It's a one pitch women's and coed's tourney and they have that stupid mat thing behind the plate. Seems simple except they do a 3-10 foot arc which doesn't make sense to me. An indicator was not an option with gloves on. I did a couple games on the bases, but the majority of the time was behind the plate. The footing was absolutely terrible. No major problems, but I can't believe I almost had to toss someone for arguing a strike call. I think THEY were the ones with the beers in them.:D As for tomorrow, I have a 7:30am start, about another 25 games left (not my own, of course), and 32 degrees with partly cloudy skies.

Alcohol opens the blood vessels and leads to COOLING the body, not warm it.
