That 43 runs was not due to a juiced ball... it was due to a complete inability to find the strike zone. If memory serves, they tried 3 different pitchers - none of which had ever pitched. There were numerous walks - and even a few HBP that I ruled they did not attempt to get out of the way of the ridiculously slow pitch. The occasional strike was usually swung at and hit - but it was predominantly walks.
The girl in the bottom of the inning was better, accuracy wise - but zero speed. Some pitches nearly legal in SP (6'arc). That team was doing a lot of hitting.
Coaches on both sides complained about the pitching rules - which I've never seen before written quite like this. Both coaches had been taking their teams to tournaments around the area - and their girls were used to pitching an inordinate number of innings during a single day.
