runner and batted ball
Do you know of any distinction of interpretation for slow pitch vs. fast pitch for these rules:
USA Softball 8-7 Runner is out K. When a runner is struck with a fair untouched batted ball while not in contact with a base and before it passes an infielder, excluding the pitcher, or if it passes an infielder and another fielder has an opportunity to make an out. L. When a runner intentionally contacts a fair ball that an infielder missed. USA Softball 8-8 Runner is not out M. When hit by a batted ball while in contact with a base, unless the runner intentionally interferes with the ball or a fielder making a play. |
