USSSA v USASB slow pitch description

We recently started working a league that transitioned from USSSA to USASB.

In their bylaws, they wish to retain the USSSA rule on pitching, specifically pitch height.

Here are the 2 descriptions:

USSSA
Sec. 6. TYPE OF PITCH PERMITTED.
A. The ball must be pitched in a definite underhanded motion at slow speed.
B. The pitched ball must arc at least 3 feet after leaving the pitcher’s hand and before it passes any part of home plate.
C. The pitched ball shall not rise higher than 10 feet above the ground.

USASB
H. The ball shall be delivered with perceptible arc and reach a height of at least 6 feet from the ground, while not exceeding a maximum height of 10 feet from the ground.
Exception: Senior Slow Pitch Only shall not exceed a maximum height of 12 feet from the ground.

Doesn't this basically mean the same thing just worded a bit differently?

U-trip you can have a pitch that barely gets 3ft off the ground and still be legal. You can release the ball from ankle height.

USA you have to bring that pitch up to at least 6 feet. Pitches in USA are higher and more more arced. Also a lot easier to call illegal based on arch as if the pitcher is around 6ft tall or the batters are, if the ball goes over their heads at the max height of the pitch, it's satisfied the arch requirement.

Ah, the Knuckle Draggers League. That must be tough on the hammies and back.
