NFHS Rule 3-5-3 specifies how a coach must dress during a game (uniform or coaching shirt, etc.)
Do you enforce that with female coaches?
What about short "gym" type shorts?

The way some kids ignore me these days, it feels like coaching a tire. Some days they're even flat. But I'm the one going bald.

NFHS rules just say no cut offs or jeans. If they are wearing those, they just cant be on the field after the coaches meeting. No problems with short shorts.

The rule says "school uniform or jersey/coaching shirt with slacks, shorts or other leg coverings in school colors or colors of khaki, black, white or gray"
"Cut-offs or any type of jeans are prohibited"

The point is decorum, legitimizing the image; even of not worded as such.
