clarifications

Recently, I had to clarify 2 rules, unfortunately after the fact.

1) an umpire called a player out for throwing a bat after a home run, followed by ruling the prior runners could not score.

2) BR attains 1st base, her foot on fair (white) part of base, moves her foot to the foul (colored) part and is called out for leaving the base.

Situation 1 is incorrect. I had that happen in my game. The batter-runner had the home run count, but was ejected after the play ended.

Situation 2 is incorrect as well, because the orange part of the base is also part of the base.

Those were my points of having to clarify for the umpires in question.

Also, the earlier bat throwing topic.
