What do we have?

Situation: Offensive Team is in the 1B Dugout; R3, R2, and R1; 0 Outs; and B4 hits a Fly Ball which causes the Ball to pass over the Outfield Fence while over Fair Territory.

Play 1:

1) Offensive Team Players and Substitutes gather around HP as R3, R2, R1, and B4 advance around the Bases.

2) R3 advances toward and touches HP.

3) R2 touches 3B and advances toward HP but stops approximately 6ft short of HP.

4) R1 touches 2B, 3B, and advances toward HP. R1 hi-fives R2 as he passes R2 but stops approximately 3ft short of HP.

5) B4 touches 1B, 2B, 3B, and advances toward HP.

6) B4 hi-fives, in order, R2 and R1, and in doing so passes R2 and R1 before touching HP.

7) R2 and R1 then run pass HP into their Team's Dugout without touching HP with the rest of their Teammates.

Play 2:

1) Offensive Team Players and Substitutes gather around HP as R3, R2, R1, and B4 advance around the Bases.

2) R3 advances toward and passes HP but does not touch HP.

7) R2 and R1 then run pass HP, without touching HP, into their Team's Dugout with the rest of their Teammates.

What do we have using a) NFHS, b) NCAA, c) USA Softball, d) WBSC , and e) USSSA Rules?

NOTE: WBSC is the World Baseball Softball Confederation and USA Softball represents the United States.

USA & NFHS - Lots of outs in both plays. In play 1 R3 & B4 scores. In play 2 possibly 1 run unless Defense appeals R3 missing HP then no run in that play.

1) R3 scores, R1 and B4 are out for passing a live runner (R2), ball remains live. R2 scores unless properly appealed.

2) R1 and B4 are out for passing a live runner (R2), the ball remains live. R3 and R2 score unless properly appealed. [NFHS, NCAA] The appeal of R3 is a force out, but is a timing play in USA. A fourth out appeal is allowed on both R2 and R3. [USA] A fourth out appeal of R2 or R3 is valid as both apparently scored. [NCAA] Team warning if players out of the dugout are in fair territory before all have touched home plate. If the team has had a prior warning, the ball is dead, B4 is out and other runners are returned to the last base touched at the time of the violation.

WBSC is similar to USA but didn't bother to look it up; could be wrong. No idea about U-trip.

I've got a headache.

Shouldn't R1 be on third base and R3 be on first base?

Yes, Softball Terminology would have R1 on 3B and R3 on 1B, but this was a Baseball play in a FB group and I also posted it in the Baseball Forum here first.

Depends, if we are talking FP or SP. In SP I've got nothing, at least under USA rules since I don't think home runs need to be run out.

Hopefully a time limited game, because in the time it will take to explain this mess to the coaches and make sure we have the call correct, a lot of game time will be running off the clock.
