HBP in BB

Slap-hitter doing her cross-over step thing, is hit in the "crossing-over" foot as she's moving forward. Made no attempt to avoid being hit (not relevant, ball is in the BB).

Would she have been hit if she stayed stationary? Hard to say. But is that relevant either?

I kept her at the plate. Very irate OC. Again, not relevant.

Was insisting I go for help. I was very tempted to ask my partner if she offered at the pitch...

As the father of a slapper, I would be irate, too. How is she going to avoid a pitch if she's moving forward to slap it?

Why would you keep her in the box with the ball in the batter's box and the batter moving? Grant her first and nobody says a word from either team.

Speaking USA, that alone is a reason to keep her in the box. Like it or not, it is a choice and chance the batter takes and the rule addresses.
