Scoring logic says "if there had been no errors how many runs would score?" Those are the earned runs. In your examples no runs would have scored with errorless play so there are no earned runs.

Try these with your program.

2 outs; triple; wild pitch; strike out. 1 earned run

2 outs; triple; passed ball; strike out. 0 earned run

2 outs; E3 on a dropped foul fly; HR; pitching change; HR; strike out. First pitcher 0 ER; second pitcher 1 ER; team ER 0
