ASA National Schools for 2016

National Umpire Schools

Well, some areas of the country are going to require a fair amount of travel

Never one close for us. Obviously, Salem is closest, but not a regular school.
Burlington, NC is closest for Delaware/Maryland.

Nothing even remotely close to the northeast.

Junior and I last attended a National School in 2013, so we don't need to attend one until 2017 at the latest.

Our ASA umpires association is the sponsor for the one in Findlay, Ohio, on the weekend of March 18--20, 2016. BUT!! We won't be able to attend it because we will be in Columbus, Ohio, officiating in the Ohio Special Olympics Basketball State Championships Final Four.

So if anybody decides to attend the Findlay, Ohio, meeting we wish we could be there to say hello.

1) Our home will not be empty. The "Better Half" will still be there.

2) The "Better Half" does not run a bed and breakfast.

3) Findlay is 50 miles south of Toledo.

That figures, Mark. You'll be down here in my neck of the woods when I'll be up north in yours!

Mark, Jr., and I may stop by late Saturday afternoon on our way back to Toledo from Columbus, and we just might come back down to the School on Sunday.
