Goalkeeper number
 
Sorry if this has been answered, I searched and did not see it.

I understand that goalkeepers can have two jersey numbers on the roster (Goal and Field). But, must a GK have a jersey number on the GK shirt? Typically, those do not come with numbers like a set of team kits would.

Under NFHS rules, yes: "All jerseys shall be numbered...." Rule 4, somewhere. And the rule about rosters also says something about numbers of all players.
