I'm OK with that....but whatever you do, don't come up with a defensive foul on a player that is trying to defend that and is late getting into position. It is patently unfair to a defender to allow...

No. When officials at "that" level are thinking it shouldn't be called and officials "THAT" level do call it, that is inconsistency.

It has been a POE more than once in recent times, even at the...

Good call. He traveled before he even did the spin. He hopped on the same foot after catching the ball and before pivoting around for the spin.

I agree. The T is the only one with a view through the play.

The defender's feet did move forward thought the 2nd shot. For the reasons you describe regarding the C, we also don't have a view...

Incorrect on both elements.

C isn't "awarded" two points....they scored two points. Points are "awarded" only for defensive goal tending or basket interference.

Also, the second part is...

The latter.

And this is another poorly worded rule since the original dribbler was really the first to touch the ball after the OOB player returned. What they really meant is that the returning...

Look at time 56 and you'll see the defenders left knee/leg come into the shooter's forward leg and knock it at a weird angle as the shooter jumps.

Maybe not enough to go get, but it wasn't wrong.

A big difference is the openness to the play. In the other case, it was clear the T had a open look at the play. Perhaps the T just didn't see the contact that the C saw, but the T had a good...

No. I've seen it used that way many times on this forum. It isn't me projecting anything. I'm just pointing that out. Some are now denying they used it that way, but it doesn't change history.

Yet, term is not accurate, rules-wise. The rules consider the dribble to end before the ball is "gathered" regardless of what a lot of officials use. A lot of officials used to use being "set" too...
