Thank you Dan. My thoughts exactly. Soldier - superior relationship is not the same as the ref - player relationship. Also, ref-player relationship is not the same as a coach-player relationship....

JR - that's precisely how it should be handled. This area is a pet peeve of mine, because so many refs have their own personal way of dealing with it. Do it by the book, and make the first warning...
