I have a 14-15 Rule Book at work with me. The rule reads "ring or backboard" in that book. I also have a 17-18 Rule book. The rule reads "ring" in that book. Must have changed 16-17 or 17-18.

According to 10-5-1a,b,d,e,f,2&4, officials shall warn the head coach unless the offense is judged to be major. Guess I need to step up my game. :)

Headwear for religous reasons
3-5-4 Exception b allows for headwear which is attached in such a way that it is highly unlikely it will come off during play.
Is it possible the NFHS equates "highly unlikely" to "guarantees"?
