The defense had a legit chance at a DP even if the runner had not slowed down. Does that factor in?
I guess my bigger question is how do you not replay the play since the umpire called a dead ball...

What Constitutes a Trip to the Mound?
What has to happen in order for a trip to the mound to have occurred? Does he have to go to the pitching circle? Can he stop at the foul line and give instructions to his pitcher?

Fastpitch high school game is called during the 3rd inning of a 7 inning game. When they resume at a later date, am I correct that it starts over? Or do they start from where they left off?
