Don't forget possibly traveling.

If A1 shoots at B's goal, misses and catches the rebound even without dribbling, he probably lifted his pivot foot on the try(not shot). If the goal is considered the floor, then he has traveled.

You're missing the point

If you are throwing the ball to the shooter while a teammate is coming in to a lane space, you must not be paying attention.

Get the ball back even if the shooter catches it and let him come in.

It would best if the rules would say that during a throw in there is no backcourt nor front court until team control is established. When the player jumped, he was not in the front court because...

You are in trails primary

So, the trail has to go over. Even if means you have to go all the way to the opposite sideline to get a good view. If this occurs, you could actually cause a two man rotation where the lead would...

Working youth games this Saturday. 5th graders with mostly dads as coaches. They do a pretty good job and don't really cause any problems. I called a 5 second closely guarded while a kid was...

No team control though

First, a throw in ends the ball is legally touched, a foul or violation occurs, or the ball becomes dead. The throw in ended with the foul. Since neither team had control, go with the AP.

New rules change this past year

If an official has direct knowledge of a timing issue, they can resolve it. In this case, if you knew you had 1.2 sec and a timeout was called at first touch, you could adjust this.

Depends on your position and the ball

If the ball is opposite you in your primary as trail, you should be out on the court pretty far. If a turnover occurs, you can usually beat it down court and see the entire play. If you can't get...

Only question I would have would be team control

As you described it, it sounds exactly right. But, you said it was during a scramble. If Team B had team control before the scramble and then fouled, there would be no shooting.

The reason you don't stop

If the free throw is successful, you have no violation (assuming A is shooing and B has violated the lane).
