DP is the batter for the DEFO (OR TP), but has the right to play in the field for anyone at anytime. As long as the DP and DEFO are never in the lineup (actually batting) at the same time, everything...

Adjust to the player. Position yourself deeper or off a little bit. It doesn't take long to get a feel for a players habits.

Good call. Much like the rest of the rules in ASA, like the foul ball, out of play area, etc. As long as any part of something is on said line, it's in.
