Actually Rich, there are 49 "Members" which use NFHS Rules for Football! (District of Columbia)
Interestingly, all 51 "Members" use NFHS Rules For Basketball

NFHS states can and do make modifications to rules to makes the rule safer.
Additionally, all 98.94% (49 out of 51 which includes the District of Columbia)of states that belong to the NFHS each...

Jwaz is correctly referring to a "Lineman" as in NFHS 2-32-9
Rich on the other hand is describing a "Back" as in NFHS 2-32-3
