Getting Started in NC

I am interested in beginning officiating lacrosse here in NC starting in 2008. The state's website doesn't list any booking agents for lax. Does anyone know how I should begin?

Also, I'll throw this out there for you. Other than an interest in the game, I have no experience in lacrosse (never played or coached it). In your opinions, does this help or hurt my chances of becoming a good official? Any and all advice is welcome. Thanks!

I don't work lax but I know that Bill Freeman in Charlotte books lacrosse in that area. Heck, he books every sport at the high school level in that area. Where in NC are you located? I would give the NCHSAA office in Chapel Hill a call or send them an email, they should be able to help you out..

I'm in Winston-Salem. It's about 90 minutes north of Charlotte. Yeah, I'll shoot an email to the NCHSAA and see what they say. Thanks!
