			Hey all out there,

I am a soccer referee who is being recruited to officiate lacrosse. I have seen it played some and even played a couple of matches with the college club team 25 years ago. But I really don't know the rules well. Where could I go to get a good handle on the rules? Thanks for the help!!! |

There isn't a lot of traffic on this group; there's a lot more rules discussion at:

http://www.lacrosseforums.com/forumd...?s=&forumid=86 although this site does pick up during the spring. There are several really knowledgeable people at lacrosseforums.com, and just combing over the past messages will help you sort out a lot of the trouble spots. Hopefully you have a copy of the rules. Be aware that there are a lot of differences between NCAA and NFHS (high school federation) rules, although some high school leagues use NCAA rules.

Go where LaxRef has pointed you, we can help you there and you can read through some of the older threads. The best thing to do is purchase a rulebook. You can order from NFHS.com for an NFHS rulebook OR you can get the NCAA rulebook in a PDF version online. Ask questions and learn from others. Also since you are going to be new, if a old grizzled vet tells you somthing, always look it up to see if it is right because often vets think they know right and don't; it is also good practice.
