Scenario 1: Offense has the ball in the box. A1 throws to A2 who misses the ball and it rolls out of the box. Does the count start as soon as the ball leaves the box or when Team A regains possession? What if B1 deflects the pass before it rolls out of the box?

Scenario 2: A1 is to restart a dead ball in his defensive half of the field and outside the defensive clearing area. I know he can run or pass the ball back into the defensive clearing area. If he passes to a teammate who is also outside the area can that teammate now run or pass it back in?

Your help is appreciated.

Both times when team A gains possession.

Only the first man may enter the defensive area when he makes a pass to another teammate outside the defensive are the team losses the exception.
