Never had an interrupted game but was thinking if the following situation occurred.

A1 becomes unconscious during the first quarter during a game. After the injury the game needs be interrupted and then resumed on another date. Does A1 need a doctor’s note before he can play in the second part of the game? I say yes because the rule is explicit about this (see 4-28-7 pp31, 32) even though it does not appear to deal with this type of situation. I would tell the coach to make sure he has a note if he wants that player to play in the next game. This should not be that hard to get because a player should see a doctor anyway after becoming unconscious.

Without looking in the book I totally agree with you. Off of memory it says a player needs a doctors note to come back in the game. Interuppted game is still a game, even though the coaches can make roster changes he would still need a note. Interesting situation though.

That could be one example. Any kinds of other things, like the lights die, like the book says, anything beyond the control of the officials.
