Longest shot in history?

Saw this last night during during the Penguins-Capitals game on NHL Network.

Didn't think anything of it until seeing that Yahoo! decided to report about it.

I've never seen anything like this in all the years I've been a fan. Not even something close to that. Most clearing attempts that leave the playing area go over either side of the rink. Any pucks leaving the ice into the netted area are deflections. Just weird.
