Perhaps, the most important skill we can develop, and one of the most difficult to (consistently) master is; keeping calm in the face of a storm. Unfortunately, it's a skill earned from learned experience.

A favorite quote (from Patrick Swazey in the movie "Roadhouse" instructing a group of Bouncers about dealing with emotional behavior, "Be nice until it's time not to be nice", which fits our environment pretty well.

I know all the guys in this article. I am one of them. The reporter failed to include some of my points. I told him the problem with coaches is correctable if AD's would evaluate coaches the same way that teacher are evaluated. You would never accept the coaches' behavior in the classroom. If schools spend al this money on athletics because it is an extension of the classroom, teaching valuable lessons, etc., it is not working. Also, I said that school boards and administrators must realize the seriousness of the situation. We will literally not be able to cover all the games, especially sub-varsity.
