I have only seen the clip on ESPN web site. The coach is looking at his own player who is standing at a 45 degree angle from the coach. The coach has his right hand on the player's shoulder while congratulating the player. He goes to square up to the player when his left forearm contacts the Air Force player's facemask on the way to his player's left shoulder area. It does not look intentional to me. He should not have been on the field, period. Is there another angle other than the ESPN clip?
TXMike, I wouldn't expect the Denver Post writer to be objective on this matter.
cmathews wrote "You've got to be kidding me...at what point does your elbow naturally come up to your shoulder and rotate out to an opposing player on accident??" Since his player is much taller than him, it would be a natural path to bring your arm up to congratulate your player.
I am neither a Northwestern fan nor an Air Force hater. I justed posted my opinion.
