Ball Boys, some white hats will get them. Really depends on how far downfield we are. I dropped one last year for a fumble on a kick and had to race back 85 yards. I was LJ and just had my ball boy go get it. Told him if play suddenly came his way to get off the field (bag was only a couple steps onto the field anyways)

One game each; soph, JV, Varsity, have not had on on our crew yet. Our biggest problem is getting the white hat to slow down and let the BJ get set before blowing the ready. We are thinking of trying the ballboys. We will signal to them to grab it and run it up to us. I repost after we try it. Until someone figures it out, you may want to try practicing with some track sprinters!! HAHAHA Just Kidding!

Jumped on a crew today as the LJ in a 4-man. Had some long returns and I just left the bag on the field upfield. I knew where it was and after the score at the other end of the field, I picked it up on my way upfield for the kickoff.

I also had to keep the clock on the field -- if I had to do that every game, I'd probably quit
