Other than 1-5-3e (which to me is really reaching) is there anything that covers allowing or not allowing a player to wear hairbeads, especially if they extend out the back of the players helmet? I personally have not seen it but a friend of mine has.
I am sure the player needed Advil or something of the sort if he did play with those in.

Also where is it covered to not allow players to wear bandanas or dew rags? I cannot find it on rule one but have always understood it to be one.

If you consider an item to be a uniform adornment, then don't let them play with them. Remember that the rule addresses certains items but states that Illegal equipment shall always include but is not limited to:" That gives the U a lot of leeway.

There's no rule against skull caps, bandanas, or dew rags under NFHS rule but our state association does not allow it.
