"Fans" is short for "fanatics", so a little bit of idiocy shouldn't surprise anyone. It's just sad that some sportswriters have to try so hard to justify their paychecks by writing articles that add absolutely nothing of any value WHATSOEVER to try and make themselves sound important.

The fan comments are idiotic, as expected. But I didn't think the article was that bad - after all, he's paid to do this article every week.

And for the record, the Hochuli call was awful. (And no, I don't care about either of those teams).

I haven't seen the Vikings play, but I feel like Graham broke the plane prior to the ball coming out in the Saints-Falcons game. The taunting penalty on William Gay was just inexcusably bad, and a game-changer at that.

I think he probably did. I just don't KNOW he did. On the taunting, SOMETHING caused the official to look over suddenly - and the visual stuff we see on video wouldn't have done it (it was not in his vision)... I strongly suspect (and we'll never know) that Gay said something across the line.

The Hochuli one - it was pretty much exactly as the article describes, and the writers thoughts parallel mine at the time.
