2 Targeting/Helmet Contact Video Clips

I don't know how to embed a video, but I want opinions on two plays with suspect targeting/helmet contact. These are from 2 8-man football games we did this year.

You'd better not keep the video private.

It might help if you tell us exactly where we are to look.

In this first one the only thing I can find is a block that looks like it took the defender by surprise, but I did not see targeting at all from that angle.

The second play I am thinking you are talking about the hit on the QB. Hard to tell if there is any head contact and if there was it appeared to mostly come from the second guy in and he was straight up and only hit the passer in the head when the first hit changed the target area.

Angles in both are not good honestly to make a definitive judgment from me.

Peace

I agree with JR. Looks like two good no calls from this video.

There's little doubt that watching game films can be a significant, helpful and important training aide, but RARELY are they effective in determining wherther a specific was/wasn't or should've/shouldn't have been called.

The view from most camera angles and positioning and that of a game official at ground level are usually vastly different. Often the review and assessment of the camera's perspective provides advantages not available to the field official and not dicernable to the naked eye in a real time perspective but, ignores the close up interaction of the participants leading up to the actual contact.

I'm afraid the day that "official replay" finds it's way to the High School level will be a dark day BACKWARDS for the sport.
