Goal Post Setback Required?

I'm sure this is much easier to find than I've made it. Is there a NFHS goal post requirement for setback? We have schools in our area with single post on the end line and others with setbacks varying from 4'-6'. Thanks.

Rule 1-5 concerns the goal.

Still not smart enough

I've read that section over and over, I'm still lost to the answer.

There is no mention, thus either is legal.

Correct. And if part of the post is out of bounds (which it is by his description), then all of it is out of bounds. If a player brushes the part that is inside the line, he's still considered out of bounds.

No set back is required. There are still a few schools around that have dual goal posts on the end line. The requirement is that the crossbar must be even with the end line.
