My recon I'm sure this is much easier to find than I've made it. Is there a NFHS goal post requirement for setback? We have schools in our area with single post on the end line and others with setbacks varying from 4'-6'. Thanks.
bisonlj HLin NC wroteThere is no mention, thus either is legal. "That which is not forbidden, is allowed" Correct. And if part of the post is out of bounds (which it is by his description), then all of it is out of bounds. If a player brushes the part that is inside the line, he's still considered out of bounds.

There are still a few schools around that have dual goal posts on the end line. The requirement is that the crossbar must be even with the end line.
