How many Officials?
 

High School game Friday night thre was supposed to be 4 officials for the game. but one did not show up so they went with three, What if one of the officials would have got hurt?? What is the limited amount of officials in football?

Your state may have it's own guidelines but since most mechanics manuals have meachanics for crews of 2 through 7 officials, I would say 2 is the least. Depending on the game, the teams may decide they would rather postpone than go with a reduced number of officials.

How Many Officials?
 

NFHS says that your state should provide appropriate guidelines, but they suggest that the game should continue.

In the IHSA Umpiring Manual it only shows for 4 and 5 officials. Last year the had 3 officials. From experiance I would say 4.
