Kick Off Question

Prior to the ball being kicked on a Kick OFF ,

How far can a player or players go beyond the Ball while setting in the Tee before the ball is kicked

Also is it a Penalty or not if the Player or PLayers can run pass the last player on the Receiving Team and return to the Kicking Team's retraining line before the ball is kicked before the 25 SEC Clock has expired

If I'm understanding your question ... zero.

The kicker and the holder are allowed to be ahead of the football prior to the kick.

True from a literal rule interpretation. Most good officials I know use the following philosophy. As long as the foot is not down beyond the free kick line let it go. If it's an onside kick attempt then the line becomes a plane and is more literally enforced. Having part of your body beyond the free kick line plane when the play is going to take place at least 40-50 yards away is not a significant advantage.

True.

Kind of not clear what the OP is really asking. perhaps a clarification or example would help us.

If the kick is not imminent, who cares? What kind of advantage would you gain by having a player strolling in the neutral zone on his way to setting down the tee?
