High School games on TV

Retired after 40 seasons (32 in CNY and 8 here) and enjoy seeing these games on TV. Had quite a few on my cable this weekend featuring teams from Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. Saw a portion of a couple western teams last night. Not sure if there will be fewer high school games televised once colleges begin play this coming week, but I'm a fan. Anyone else?

I'm on DirecTV and get the Sports Pack in the fall months to get the out of market college games on the regional sports networks I don't regularly receive. The fringe benefit is some of the regionals- Altitude in Colo., Fox Sports AZ, and Prime Ticket (SoCal)- start showing live HS games on Thursday nights. Now that I've got a DVR, I can set to record and watch at my leisure.

One of the NYC region channels used to have a Saturday morning show re-capping games but I've not seen it in several years.

I am enjoying these games from Florida, SC and Other places. Getting me ready for my season to start. I know that soon I will be able to see some Colorado games.

ESPN for the last couple of years has been showing a high school game just about every weekend. Many on Friday but some on an occasional Sunday, usually early in the season. Mostly the games are on ESPNU where there is a focus on some top recruit or multiple recruits for big time programs.

Peace

ESPN has opened the HS season with these games the past few years. Next weekend, when college football starts, you'll see very few HS games. A few but not many.

Is the Herbstreit Classic or whatever it is called still on Labor Day in Ohio?
