An officials equipment question

One of my crewmates said he worked with someone who had a wristband with a counter on it to keep track of the downs, as opposed to the one that you slip over your fingers. I've never seen one before and am wondering who supplies these.

Thanks

I've used the slider for years, but have recently switched back.

Frankly, there are times I forget to move the slider. The constant tug of the over the finger band reminds me to constantly evaluate the down.

Seems like a very, very unnecessary gadget.

And as a long time U, I had another one of the elastics on my other hand for keeping track of where to spot the ball.

I do not think I would like this only because I would forget. I can feel the normal indicator in place and know what down it is. This would require more visual identification. It would take a lot of adjustment for me to use.

Peace

If its real cold and you can't feel the elastic strap due to gloves, then the slider may be useful. However, you won't be use to it unless you use it regularly, so...

Thanks for the information. I'll forward this to him and see if it's what he was talking about. I honestly don't see the advantage either.
