Question

A's ball, 4th and 6 on their own 2. A1 drops back into his end zone to pass, can't find a receiver and throws the ball into the ground. What do you have, what are the options?

NFHS

Intentional grounding.

Realistically, there are no options.

Penalty accepted = safety.

Penalty declined = safety.

I tend to agree

I would say the same thing: Intentional Grounding in the end zone. Saftey.

Based on the info given I do not see enough for a foul in NCAA. Was he trying to avoid loss of yardage or conserve time?

As stated above, NF, there is no choice to be made: the result is always a safety. (10-5-4)
