IBB call, or legal block?
Hello all!
I'm from the Netherlands and I am having some questions about the calls that are made. I do ask these questions also to the Dutch Referees, however it seems like they are not always that perfect, well-experienced and knowledgeable about the rules & calls. Therefore, I am asking you guys some questions. Is it OK that I upload the play? 00546 - punt GG - YouTube Green punts to White. White returns and does a cutback. Green #7 and Green $25 are trailing and knocked down to the ground. Are these blocks IBB or are these legal and from the side? Hope to see your answers Greetings from The Netherlands! Georg ps. If you want to see a full Dutch Football game, I can upload it for you. |

Those blocks are both legal. Not even close to IBB. I recommend the Aloha clinic videos. Here's the 2011 clinic video on blocking: Aloha Clinic Video 2011 Blocking & Holding - YouTube The philosophy for IBB focuses on angle of approach. Applying this philosophy to your play shows clearly that these blocks are legal.
