Is that the purpose of a closed thread?

Moderators are able to respond to closed threads, presumably to clean up threads that need cleaning up. I'm certain that MD Longhorn didn't notice that Welpe locked the thread. It's easy to accidentally do this -- even though there's a Closed icon at the lower left of the screen, the Edit and Quote buttons are still there and they are no different from ones in an active thread.

I deleted the post beyond the lock and posted a message that the thread is closed. Sorry it happened. And with that, I'll close this one, too.
