I would like to collect a list of questions to pose to the rules writers for their interpretation.

If anyone who has a strange situation that appears not to be covered by the rules please post it here.

Thanks,

There are some contradictions in the current NFHS PSK rules that need to be cleared up.

Go here for a summary:

REPLY: jfurdell...thanks. You did a good job capturing the editing errors, gaps, conflicts, and inconsistencies. One thing to add--NF10-4-3 references a "scrimmage kick play." If this is what they ultimately want (parallels the NCAA rule), they'll need to define exactly what a scrimmage kick play is.

Rule 2-17-4

We (in SC) have been told to strike the words in 2-17-4b that require the defensive player to be on the line of scrimmage at the snap for a block in the back to be legal. Is this being passed along in other states?

Imagine that will be clarified next Tuesday when the interpreters meet.

The Comments section said the rules were separated regarding block in the back versus clip but they read exactly the same.
