Inadvertent Whistle in Houston game last Sunday

Can't believe there's not a thread on here about the inadvertent whistle in the Houston game last Sunday that cost the Texans a touchdown. If it had been the replacements, they'd bit lit up like the Christmas tree.

Did you have a question about it?

More surprised at what they saw and how an NFL official makes such a rookie mistake...those guys are so good, I think some are gun shy after the Forsett TD on Thanksgiving where Detroit botched the challenge I've heard earlier whistles after the Forsett TD. Houston again. Odd.

Consistent "Perfection" is an elusive objective we all chase, but only a fool believes he's actually caught it. Even the very best of us are always going to be in the chase, no matter how wonderful they are, or think they might be.

A Big 10 official once told a group of us at a clinic; "If you've never had an inadvertant whistle, I feel bad for you because there's one in your future."

IWs are not reserved for rookies. There is a reason every rule set has provisions to cover them.
