That explains the rules, it may explain the mechanics, but not necessarily considering that not everyone in Texas seems to use 5 man mechanics based on what I have read on this site.

Its obviously not 7 since there is neither a line judge nor a side judge next to the U. You can't tell for sure if the R is on the LJ's sideline. You assume he isn't since he ends up in the middle of the field, but he could have been chased there during the run back. TASO mechanics call for the R to be on the LJ's vacated side but some R's go for the foot side of the kicker.

Incidentally, its not a "109(+) yard missed FG..." Its a 44 yard missed FG attempt returned 109+ yards for a TD.

Also, did anyone see anything else on the play?

Appeared to me he whiffed. I noticed that on the first viewing and then went back. Illegal even in NCAA rules if he makes contact.

Agreed, that's why I wrote, "...attempted block below the waist..."
