NFL Touchback/Punt

Punt
Gunner is running parallel to the goal line trying to keep ball out of EZ.
Left foot steps on the goal line.
With left foot now not touching the goal line he dives and bats the ball. Note that no part of his body had touched the field of play after his foot hit that the goal line and before he touched the ball.

Touchback?

I am not an official. Just curious as to what is required after touching the goal line before you can touch the ball.

Thanks

A player has to reestablish themselves back in the field of play (not in the end zone including the the line) by either getting two feet back in the field of play or contact the field of play with some body part other than the hand or foot.

In your scenario, if he does not do either of the above, the play is a touchback.

Thanks. I figured there was something that to happen.

Dolphins challenged it(I'm a Bengals fan) but the booth didn't overturn it. The foot on the line was obvious so I was wondering if I was missing something.
