OPI has loss of down?
It's either first and 10 for B at the previous spot, or 4th and what it was +15 yards for OPI for team A. Or am I missing something here? Last edited by dvasques; Sat Sep 08, 2012 at 09:33am. |

15 yard peanlty, the loss of down results in the down not being replayed. 1st down for B.

All LOD means is the loss of the opportunity to repeat the same down after the penalty. So if it is 4th down and the line to gain is not achieved, then you give the ball to the defense/receiving team.

I think most here speak NFHS unless NCAA is stated.

OPI is 15 yards (unrestricted) and repeat the down. 15 yards and a potential turnover is too much, imho.
