breaking the huddle with twelve

I searched the forum on this one, but everything was several years old...2009 or so. Breaking the huddle with twelve players is still just a college rule, right? In high school, a substitute just has to leave within 3 seconds? So if a substitute comes into the huddle, and after one second the huddle breaks and the substitute player starts leaving immediately....no foul, correct?

Yes, you're correct. 3-7-1. "...Replaced players shall begin to leave the field within three seconds."

3-5 seconds, I thought? :)

Oh yeah, old interpretation, but who is counting the 3 seconds????

The same assistant coach who yells "holding" on every play.

Once again, that is our job and if we run into you then you will be complaining. You better have someone that is worried about this then run into your sorry behinds and then put your coach in a situation to be ejected.

And that 3 seconds starts when the player is informed. ;)

Peace
