Mich/Neb lateral
 
Neb intercepted a Mich pass, and as the runner was being tackled he passed it to a teammate. The reviewed the play and while showing replays for the review, the announcer said "well, it may have been a forward lateral" (I love the oxymoron). Anyway, replay decided he was down before the pass, and the referee made the annoucement "the runners knee was down before the lateral." :eek:

I actually could not believe he said "lateral" in the explanation of the result of the replay.

On the flip side, I enjoyed the announcement in the Iowa/Purdue game regarding the ejection, "he has excused himself from the rest of the game."
