It wasn't until I was in my high teens that I realized what "beat" as a sports result was a metaphor for, or that it was a metaphor at all!

Writing is on about a 5th grade level.

Team's actions are on a level far below that. I would shut that program down, at least for the year and would only allow a return based on new leadership and measurable changes. This is reprehensible.
