NF Enforcement Questions

1- Defensive Pass interference and roughing the QB on the same live ball play. What are A's options?

2. On a kickoff the ball ends up in joint possesion. Who's ball

Thanks

1) Not enough information. Was the pass completed? What was the result of the play.

2) Joint possession on any kick belongs to R.

1. Multiple foul. A's choice.
2. R's ball

1 - If incomplete - A can elect either foul for a 15-yard penalty and automatic first down. If complete - can elect DPI for 15-yard penalty from the previous spot and 1st down or roughing for 15-yards from the end of the run (deadball spot) and 1st down.

2 - belongs to R

NFHS does not have this rule, only roughing the passer (NFL has roughing the QB).

Remeber new rule this year, not the end of the run anymore, end of the play.

Accept one, accept the other, or decline both.

...if A retains possession, otherwise previous spot. ;)
