OT - What's the Worst Punt You've Ever Seen?
 

9/10/11 - Oregon State vs Wisconsin. Beautiful day - no wind, no rain, sun is shining.

9:00 to go in the first quarter, Oregon State is punting from their own 18 yard line and bring in their rugby-style punter. Snap is good. He takes a few steps to his right and kicks the ball.......off the side of his foot straight out of bounds..... for a net of MINUS FOUR YARDS.

Wisconsin scored a TD three plays later.

I would think his average for the yr just might suffer a bit from this one........

Anyone witness a horror story like that before?

Not even close! I've seen a couple where the punter kicked it into his own player (QUICK, call the proctologist!:eek:) and the ball rebounded into the endzone with R getting it for a score. One was from about the 12 and the other from near the 20!

We had a crappy one last night that went pretty much directly sideways. R and LM never saw it as it disappeared over the visitors' stands.
