Black pants: to press or not to press?

Black pants: to press or not to press?

What are everybody's thoughts on pressing the black football pant? I can't find any info one way or the other as to how "formal" to make them look.

I have found one brand (Smitty's) that makes them with a permanent crease via stitching (just like my hockey pants!), but Honig's and Cliff Keen do not.

Does anybody even care? Does anybody's association have a rule on creasing them?
